we ditched work to go to school ... cooking school!
we were granted a Digital Analytics Team outing, and selected a cooking lesson with chef nick from a place called cooking fools. we didn't make anything too mind-blowing, but it sure was MUCH better than being at the office! we made the following from scratch:mini pizza appetizers
a vinaigrette emulsion for our salad
papparadelle with bolognese
cheese ravioli with pesto
fettucini
(we didn't learn the recipe for the red pepper sauce though)
molten chocolate cake

and when we sat down to eat it all, my coworker said:
see guys, it doesn't matter what you made, we're all eating the same dinner!

Wow. I dream of making pasta from scratch one day.
looks yummy! and if you want a red pepper sauce recipe, the one on pioneer woman is pretty delicious!
in the picture of you with the kitchenaid, you totally look like you just got caught licking the beaters. Did you?
the finished products look great....I'm envious of your food photography skills. If you ever want a new career, you might have found your calling there. Your photos are always really really good! And damn, now I'm hungry.
What a fun day! Totally beats any kind of work!
Steph: making pasta from scratch is soooo easy, do you have a Kitchen-aid? If no pasta maker, try making gnocchi =)
